Dear Denise,
Some days ago, unbeknown to me,
you delivered a large photo of Glass's Mill Bridge to our home.
My wife, Vonda, had selected it for my birthday.
I was delighted to receive such a
beautiful scene. We took it out immediately for framing. The
finished product is now hanging over my desk in our den. I doubt
I'll ever yield it to another spot in our home.
I was fond of it immediately, and
find myself looking up to get lost in the beauty of the scene.
I had seen other, less attractive shots of the bridge in
Wilmore, and Jessamine County literature. But I still don't know
where it is. Do you have any information on the bridge you can
share with me? When it was built.... where it leads to on either
end... how to get there? I'd like to visit the location. Is it
necessary to get permission to wander around below the bridge?
What do you find particularly fascinating about the bridge?
Always like to have all the
information I can about subjects hanging on our walls. Would be
grateful if you could fill in my blanks. And thanks again for
having the eye that picked the view that graces my wall.
Would like to see other nature shots you may have on display.
Everything good to you
always.....and all ways!
Smiles and rainbows,
Don
PS In time, I'm sure I'll come up
with a poem about the bridge and environs. If I do, I'll send
you a copy.
